IDs and Passwords

There are two sets of IDs and passwords: (1) to connect your computer to MemInfo’s online server; (2) to sign on to the MemInfo program.

(1) To connect your computer to MemInfo’s online server: The ID is of the format xxxxxx-x. The password will be given to you by Tech Support.

(2) To sign on to the MemInfo program: Your ID will be assigned by your church’s MemInfo administrator. The first time you sign on, MemInfo will ask you to enter a new password.

Changing or repairing passwords:

(1) If Tech Support changes your server password or if your .rdp icon is not working properly, here are the steps you need to do:

  1. Right-click on your MemInfo .rdp icon on your desktop.
  2. Choose “Edit”
  3. Make sure your xxxxxx-x number appears in the “user name” box
  4. Click “always ask for credentials”
  5. Click the “Connect” button
  6. If the proper xxxxxx-x number does not appear above the password box:
    1. Click “More Choices”
    2. Click “Use a different account”
    3. Type “corp\” followed by your xxxxxx-x number.
  7. Type your server password
  8. Click “Remember me”
  9. Click “Ok”
  10. You should be online, now. Cancel out. Now we’ll reset it so that you don’t have to type the password each time…
  11. Right-click on your MemInfo .rdp icon on your desktop, again
  12. Choose “Edit”
  13. Make sure your xxxxxx-x number appears in the “user name” box
  14. Un-check “always ask for credentials”
  15. Click the “Save” button
  16. Click “Connect”

(2) To change your password for signing onto MemInfo, your MemInfo administrator will delete your old password (but not delete your user ID!). Then, the next time you sign onto MemInfo, it will ask you to create a new password.
